What to Expect

Below, you'll find information and suggestions to help you prepare for the upcoming addition. Visit our FAQ for additional information. 


From Saturday, October 19 until Monday, October 21, library customers will experience downtime as we bring Indian Trails data into our catalog.  During this time period:


  • Bring your library card to the library! Library staff may not be able to look up your account to check out materials to you.

  • Call your library to confirm that an item is on the shelf. Results in the online catalog may not be up to date. 

  • Wait to pay! Library customers will not be able to pay fines or modify their accounts during the downtime.

  • Place your holds before the weekend! Library staff will not be able to place holds from October October 19-October 21, and cardholders will be unable to place holds through the library catalog themselves.

  • Keep your items a little bit longer! We will automatically extend your due dates, so that nothing is due during this period. Items returned October 19-October 21 will not be able to be checked in until after the downtime has completed.


The CCS library network grows a little larger with the addition of over 200,000 items to the catalog!


  • Use your library card at the Indian Trails Public Library District! Existing CCS member library cardholders may check out materials from both Indian Trails Public Library branches without needing to register their library card.

  • Indian Trails cardholders can check out at CCS member libraries! Indian Trails Public Library District cardholders can checkout at CCS member libraries without needing to register their card.
